General Description: Weir Hot Springs is located in the beautiful Clearwater National Forest in Idaho. The hot springs are primitive rock walled and gravel bottomed pools. The hot springs among a gorgeous landscape of cedars and rock cliffs with spectacular views. This hot spring is clothing optional and free.

Accessibility: You can drive up to the parking area. Weir Creek Hot Springs is a 0.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Elk City, Idaho that features hot springs. The trail moderate and an easy hike.

Hot Springs: Weir Hot Springs temperature ranges from 105-100 degree depending on the season. The main soaking area itself allows up to 10 soakers at a time. There is a smaller creek side soaking area with warm water. The main hot pool is about 10 by 10 and can comfortably fit about 10 people, overlooks the creek below it. The other pool is built down hill next to the creek and is warm depending on the season.
Hot Spring Tips: The hot springs trail can be steep. It can be helpful to bring a walking stick. These hot springs are dog friendly but they need to be leashed. Primitive overnight camping is available. Please pack out what you pack in and more if you can. Open year-round, but if visiting in the winter be prepared to hike in heavy snow. Spring runoff can affect trails and hot springs. Foot traffic can be very heavy in the summer. This hot spring can be heavily used by college students and can be quite the party location. Weir Hot Springs sits just a few miles past the famous Jerry Johnson Hot Springs Clothing is optional. This hot springs is free. This hot springs is pet friendly. Dogs need to be on a leash. No dogs in hot springs.
