General Description: Boulder Hot Springs is a rustic hot spring resort that rests on 300 acres of pristine meadows, wetlands backed by Deerlodge National Forest in the big sky state of Montana. Boulder boasts 4 hot spring pools. Boulder hot springs offers hotel rooms for accommodations. All hotel water is mineral water throughout the resort.
Location: From Helena, Montana is 30 miles or about a 35 minute drive to the hot springs.
Directions: From Helena, Montana take I-15 S 7 min (2.2 mi) Follow I-15 S to MT-69 S in Jefferson County. Take exit 164 from I-15 S 24 min (27.0 mi) Follow MT-69 S to Hot Springs Rd 6 min (4.1 mi)
Accessibility: Boulder Hot Springs is very accessible. You can drive up to the hotel. It is an easy walk around the property. The pool is handicap-accessible with assistance
Hot Springs: Boulder Hot Springs boasts four hot spring pools. The source ranges from 140-175°F. The outdoor coed swimming hot springs pool is a graduated depth pool. The water temperature is maintained at approximately 96-100 degrees. The pool is handicap-accessible with assistance. Boulder has men and a women only hot spring areas. The hot geothermal mineral water is piped into our indoor plunges where it is mixed with natural cool water and maintained at a temperature of between 103-106°F. The women’s plunge has a hot pool maintained between 103-106°F and a cool pool which is usually 50- 70 degrees. The men’s side has one hot pool maintained at 103-106°. The hot spring plunges are drained and cleaned every night and no chemicals are used.
Hot Spring Tips: Boulder Hot Springs provides accommodations. Clothing is not optional. Bathing suits and showers are required before entering the outdoor pool. There is no lifeguard and children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. no harsh chlorine in our swimming pool and, instead, add a less harmful agent of bromine to keep the pool pure and fresh. The bath house has dressing rooms, toilets, places to rest, and steam rooms. This hot springs is not pet friendly.
