General Description: Bonneville Hot Springs is located in the Boise National Forest at 4700 height along Warm Springs Creek. Bonnerville boasts hot springs waterfalls, rock walled pools with sandy bottoms along the creak and a rustic and private "soak shack" with an old fashioned cast iron bathtub. Camping is available seasonally.
Location: From Boise, Idaho is 95 miles or about 2 hours to drive to the hot springs.
Directions: From Boise, Idaho take W State St to ID-55 N in Eagle 18 min (7.8 mi) Turn right onto ID-55 N 39 min (33.7 mi) Turn right onto County Hwy 17/Banks Lowman Rd Continue to follow County Hwy 17 46 min (33.3 mi) Turn left onto ID-21 N 24 min (18.8 mi)
Accessibility: Bonneville Hot Springs is more accesible in the summer when the Bonnerville campground is open. Parking is available at the Bonneville Campground just off of Highway 21. It is easy 1/4 miles hike to the hot springs from the parking lot. If the campground is closed you park by the Warm Springs Trailhead just before the turnoff to Bonneville.
Hot Springs: Bonneville Hot Springs seeps out of the hillside and cascades down to Warm Springs Creek. The source is 120 degrees. Bonneville boasts hot springs waterfalls, rock walled pools with sandy bottoms along the creak and a rustic and private "soak shack" with an old fashioned cast iron bathtub. The bathtub is 106 degrees. The rock walled hot spring pools vary to season with the flow of the creek and the volunteer hot spring builders. The pools vary in temperature. The water is not treated. It is 100 % natural geothermal spring water. Clothing is optional. Be careful in the summer when traffic is heavy. Bring your bathing suit in case.
Hot Springs Tips: Bonneville Hot Springs offers day use and overnight camping. Day use has a free at the parking lot. Camping is at Bonneville Campgrounds maintained by forest services. The campground is seasonal. It is open Spring through fall. Check the website for the official dates. There are toilets at the campsite. This hot springs get heavy traffic when the campground is open. This hot springs is pet friendly. They need to be leashed at all times. No dogs in hot springs. Pack out what you pack in.
